Comments: | The transfer of this species started as an experiment. The juveniles were collected from the coastal area and then acclimatized for two to three weeks in fiberglass tanks. After that they were transferred to an oligohaline lake in the middle of Iraq called Al-Razzazah Lake. The fishermen in the Lake started to collect fishes up to 140mm long. This means that the L. carinata species has started to grow and utilize the Lake. Ref: FAO, 1997 |
